SEVEN COMMISSIONERS TAKE OATH OF OFFICE IN NIGER STATE

Newly sworn in members of the Niger state executive council have been reminded that though they are coming at a critical period when government activities are gradually rounding off  they must add value to Nigerlites.

Governor Abubakar Sani Bello stated this at the swearing in of seven new Commissioners at the Government House Minna.

Abubakar Sani Bello who congratulated them for their appointments would also wanted  them to redouble effort at improving the quality of lives of their people.

According to him they were selected based on merit and track records of human endeavour and that they should justify the confidence reposed on them.

Among the new member of Niger state executive council are,  Abdullahi Umar,  Gbako Mohammed Sani Kontagora Habila Daniel Agwara and Usman Tinau Mohammed Chanchaga.

Others are Yusuf Bunu Borgu Kabiru Abbas Mariga and Dr Musa Emmanuel Tafa.

They were sworn in without portpolio by the Chief Judge of Niger state,  Justice Halima Abdulmalik who was represented by Justice Bulkisu Gambo Yusuf.

Appointments of the new  Commissioners was necessitated by the vacuum created by some members of Governor Abubakar Sani Bello led cabinet that resigned to seek for various elective positions for twenty twenty three general elections.

Meanwhile Governor Abubakar Sani Bello has signed into law a bill that changes  the name of Niger state Water Board to Niger State Small Towns Water and Sanitation Agency.
