SECURITY OPERATIVES RESCUE 22 KIDNAPPED VICTIMS IN NIGER STATE

Security operatives in Niger State have rescued  twenty two kidnapped victims of Kuchi terrorists attack in Munya local government area of the state.

 

 

The Commissioner for Internal security and Humanitarian Affairs Emmanuel Umar who stated this in a statement issued in Minna said they have been reunited with their families.

 

 

Emmanuel Umar said following an intelligence report security agencies mobilised for a manhunt and engaged the terrorists within river line of DANGUNU axis in which during the encounter terrorists scampered to the overflooded river and forest belt thereby abandoning their victims and some of their items and equipment. 

 

 

According to him Niger state Governor Alh Abubakar Sani Bello has acknowledged and saluted  the courage,  commitment and dexterity of security forces in fighting terrorism, banditry and other violent crimes in the state.

 

 

 Emmanuel Umar further explained that the Governor also directed security agencies to remain resolute in their determination to dislodge and root out terrorists and their activities in Niger state.

 

 

Commissioner of Police in charge of Niger state  Monday Bala Kuryas said  all the victims abducted by bandits at Kuchi in Munya local government council have been rescued by security agencies while one person who sustain gun shoot is currently receiving and responding to treatment.
