The Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule says a senatorial aspirant, Labaran Magaji has the qualities to replace the National Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Abdulallahi Adamu, in the Senate.
Governor Sule made the remark while hosting the Labaran Magaji Campaign Organisation in the Government House, Lafia, saying with Magaji’s experience and education, there was nothing wrong if he came out to vie for the senate seat.
According to hin: “I want to sincerely commend you for what you are doing. Without any ambiguity, your level of experience and education have prepared you for positions even higher than this.
“There is nothing wrong with anything for you to come forward and say you want to go for this position,” Sule said.
He particularly commended Magaji, who is the Matawallen Toto, for making it known that he only chose to throw his hat into the political ring after a vacancy was created following Adamu’s elevation to the Office of the APC National Chairman.
“Everyone knows that Adamu is actually our political father in this state. So, when you mentioned that you have made up your mind not to contest against him, I think that is a very strong political statement. I commend you. I am sure he will remember that,” he stated.
In his remark, Magaji said he was in the Government House, alongside his campaign team, to declare his intention to contest the next senatorial election in Nasarawa West as well as to seek the blessings of the governor.
He added that he was motivated to join the race because of the vacancy created following Adamu’s emergence as the APC National Chairman.
Director General of the Barrister Labaran Magaji for Senate Campaign Organisation, Yusuf Loko, introduced Magaji as a man who has capacity and wherewithal to pick the party’s ticket for Nasarawa West.
