HONOUR YOUR WORD TO RESIGN BODE GEORGE TELLS AYU

The former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Olabode George has called on the National Chairman of the party, Iyiorcha Ayu to honour his word to resign should the presidential candidate of the party emerge form the Northern part of Nigeria.

George who was reacting to questions from journalists in Lagos on Wednesday said he is surprised that Ayu who himself made the promise without prompting because of his knowledge of how the party operates is yet to relinquish power after the emergence of a former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar from Northeast as the party’s presidential candidate in the upcoming 2023 elections.
The PDP Board of Trustees member appealed that the interest of the opposition party must be put above that of individuals to avoid its collapse. He also cautioned the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Nwike whose camp has been having an exchange of words with that of Atiku over unresolved issues from the presidential primaries and the choice of the party’s vice presidential candidate.
