GOVERNOR ABUBAKAR SANI BELLO IS NOT A CONTRACTOR WITH INEC, REFUTES NEWS ON RENEWING CONTRACT

The Niger State Governor,  Abubakar Sani Bello has described as false, malicious and misleading of a news going viral on social media platforms that “INEC renews contract for PVC, Card readers to company purportedly  linked to Tinubu and Gov Sanni Bello, APC chieftain”.

Governor Sani Bello in a statement said he is neither a contractor with the electoral umpire nor share ownership of a company with the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential candidate and former Governor of Lagos State  Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He expressed concern on how some people have chosen to use the social media platforms for negativity, making every efforts to malign the reputation of others.

The Governor who maintained that he won Governorship election in Niger state twice without having to do any contract with INEC, wondered how something that has never existed can be renewed.

“I contested for Governorship and won in 2015 and I am now finishing my second term, all these without having any contract with the electoral umpire, how then can a contract that has never been done with someone be renewed?

“While it baffles me what the originator of this lie tends to achieve, it is really disturbing that some politicians have become desperate and are trading on dangerous paths in their quest for power and most worrisome are the people aiding in circulating unverified information”, he stated.

He enjoined the general public to disregard the information as it is completely false but rather remains focus and prepared for the 2023 general elections to vote for the right candidates and not desperate politicians.
