COURT SENTENCES KILLER OF AKWA-IBOM JOB SEEKER TO DEATH

The High Court of Akwa Ibom State has convicted and sentenced Uduak Frank Akpan to death by Hanging.

Uduak Akpan was convicted for the murder of a female job seeker, Iniobong Umoren in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital.

The trial judge, Justice Bassey Nkanang gave the order in a judgment this Thursday in Uyo.

There was a reported attempted escape in the High court as a court sentenced Uduak Akpan convicted for the murder of a female job seeker, Iniobong Umoren.

A Report says it took the intervention of the Police to foil the move when Akpan attempted to escape shortly after the sentence was announced by the trial judge, Justice Bassey Nkanang.
The convict was sentenced to death by hanging and life imprisonment in the two charge of murder and rape preferred against him.
But his father, Frank Akpan and sister, Anwan Bassey were discharged and acquitted of the charge of accessory after murder pressed against them.
Recall that Ubong, a graduate of University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State was brutally murdered after she was invited for a job interview on the 29th of April by Uduak Frank Akpan.
