NDLEA INTERCEPTS 101 PARCELS OF COCAINE

 

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA says it has intercepted
101 parcels of Cocaine concealed in eight children duvets  at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.

The illicit drug with an estimated gross weight of 13.2 kilogramme was allegedly brought into the country by a 52-year-old suspect from Brazil on Saturday 9th April 2022.

In addition, the NDLEA says a 37 year old suspected drug trafficker was also arrested at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu upon arrival from Johannesburg, South Africa

He was arrested with 730grams of skunk allegedly concealed in detergent containers.

Meanwhile, over eight hundred kilogrammes of illicit drugs were seized in Lagos, Edo, Zamfara,Akwa ibom and Ondo states, while four persons were arrested in connection with the alleged crime.
